Harding Theological College, founded in 1919

Since its foundation by Rev. Dr. F.W. Harding, an American Baptist Missionary in 1919, as a vernacular Bible School, Harding Theological College (formerly known as A'chik Theological College) is the only theological institution of the Garo Baptist Convention, a constituent body of the Council of Baptist Churches in North-East India (CBCNEI). At present, Harding Theological College had 8 teaching staff and 41 students. It is affiliated with the Senate of Serampore College (University). Harding Theological College is also a Centre for Missionary Training & Research.
